Accounting + Housing Coordinator
Job Description:
- The Accounting + Housing Coordinator role is apart-time, in-person position with 20-24 hours of work per week. The schedule can be flexible for the right candidate falling within the Monday-Friday 9am-5pm timeframe. Availability on payroll days: Mondays + Tuesday bi-weekly would be beneficial.
- Housing Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for staff accommodation, oversee all aspects of housing operations including room assignments, move-ins and move-outs, tenancy agreements, maintenance coordination, and supply management.
- Conduct bi-weekly staff housing inspections to ensure all accommodation meets company standards of health, safety, and cleanliness.
- Address all housing concerns promptly and professionally with the support of the Human Resources Manager.
- Light data entry including editing new employee files, updating housing tracking sheets, and ensuring all necessary staff housing paperwork is filled out.
- Assist GM in administering payroll in the absence of the Human Resources Manager.
- Other HR and Admin duties as required.
- Accounting Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the Accounting Department for the hotel and marina.
- Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, ordering supplies etc.
- Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
- Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, etc.
- Assisting Controller in preparing financial reports.
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparation Daily Revenue Report (DRR) & distribution to management team.
- Handling Bank Deposits or Withdrawals.
- Coordinating with all House Fund holders to make sure they have proper denomination.
- Disbursing petty cash payments & processing through Accounts payable for refund.
- Preparing all AR invoices (PDF copies) & informing Controller for onward handling.
- Any other task given by Controller or General Manager.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping experience required.
- Relevant property management experience an asset.
- Strong leadership skills are a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task under pressure, and creative problem-solving skills are necessary.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information, including employee files, payroll data, and performance records, with the highest level of integrity and compliance with privacy standards.
- Strong financial acumen to compile budgets and be able to offer financial reporting for each department that falls under this role.
- Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills. Microsoft Windows/Office (Excel and Office 365) and QuickBooks experience is an asset.

Adventure Host
Job Description:
- Daily POS Transactions
- Waiver completion per guest

Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Eco-tourism/marine background an asset
- Retail experience an asset
- Willingness to learn about marina operations/tours
- Cash handling experience required
- Strong sales skills
- Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
- Customer service skills required
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

Housekeeping Manager
The Housekeeping Manager at Tofino Resort + Marina oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role includes supervising and training staff, managing schedules, monitoring inventory and supplies, and coordinating with other departments to maintain smooth operations. The manager also serves as a key point of contact for guests, addressing questions, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in leading a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This position is full-time, year-round, on-site at 634 Campbell Street, Tofino, BC.
Job Description:
- Implement and maintain housekeeping procedures and training checklists; ensure adherence by all staff.
- Train, motivate, and supervise the housekeeping team to maintain high performance and engagement.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, address feedback efficiently, and resolve complaints promptly.
- Develop and manage budgets, control labour costs, and conduct inventory checks to maintain appropriate PAR levels.
- Conduct interviews, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews for housekeeping staff.
- Create weekly housekeeping schedules and approve hours in payroll software.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to address room deficiencies.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, focusing on cost-effective, high-quality products.
- Participate in team meetings, promote an open-door policy, and foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure consistent compliance with policies, standard operating procedures, and identify areas for operational improvement.
- Perform room checks, common area walkthroughs, and assist with cleaning guest rooms as required.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Prior housekeeping management experience, one year preferred.
- Minimum 3 years housekeeping operations experience.
- Occupational first aid required.
- College or University level education required.
- Excellent time management and delegation skills.
- Highly organized and great attention to detail.
- Ability to create, and adhere to a detailed budget.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead a team and manage conflict.
- Must be flexible in days available to work based on operations.
- Language of work is English.
Wage
- $36.60/hour with annual bonus structure.
